ELP: English Language Proficiency
The English Language Proficiency (ELP) test is a component of the Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC). The ELP is required to ensure candidates can communicate effectively, particularly for radio operations.
The ELP assessment involves two-way communication interview between the trainer and candidate to test:
- Pronunciation and ease of understanding
- Grammatical structures and sentence patterns
- Fluency and natural flow of speech
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
- Interactions while communicating
